- Undergrad degree in linguistics from UCLA (3.96 GPA, department honors). One research paper, unpublished. Lots of post-grad classes in math and comp sci. I think the strongest part of my application was my essay, because I made sure to show a) that I was a good fit/invested in UW specifically, and b) what I wanted to do with the degree, in relation to my professional background.
