Forwarded to MA committee for review

Interviewed 3 weeks prior to rejection, had seen others admitted on gradcafe last week so it wasn't a surprise but still stung. Onwards and upwards.

GPA is grad, still waiting on funding info

Master's GPA was 4.0. Was somewhat taken aback by outright rejection; the admissions officer had stated that my application was awaiting review about a week ago, but that decisions would be made by the end of February. Given that someone with the same undergraduate and postgraduate grades as me was accepted, I figured that undergrad GPA wouldn't be an automatic disqualifier before review, but the number of waitlist offers from mid-February suggests that some applications weren't read before waitlist decisions were made, which kind of sucks.

Email to check portal. GPA is Master's. Really thought this was a good fit...think I'm done applying to PhD programs for the next several years lmfao. Soooo done with this.

Received a very kind letter from the DGS this morning!

This program is my first choice—truly hoping it turns into an acceptance! GPA isn't the highest so I think my SOP, writing sample, resume, and rec letters caught their attention. Grateful regardless :)

Email to check portal. Less than generic rejection. Got my BA and MA from CUNY, so this one is really like rubbing salt in the wound. Can't wait to pay my next student loan bill :)

A bit strange: the list of acceptances, waitlists, and rejections I've received seems to have no pattern to it.

I received an email to check the portal and got a pleasant rejection notice. I'm quite proud as it has appeared that I've made it through a few rounds of rejections, but I did apply after only receiving a Bachelor's Degree from what I believe is a T1 institution. I still waiting on five decisions. If I don't get into this cycle, it'll be sad because I don't have a lot of money, but perhaps the next cycle, I'll be a little wiser and be able to get in.

IGNORE WAITLIST- Has anyone heard back from them yet? No change on the portal or notification yet.
