No internships, no experience, gpa avg.

No funding, happy regardless

Disappointed… 1 IEEE conference, and 2 national conference paper. 3years of research experience. Well, now i have journal and other awards from conferences. If I had this 5 month ago… maybe result was not the same.

Did anyone get a decision for those who applied for PhD but opted to be considered for masters?

The Admission Committee members are "favourably impressed"... So I guess im the worst applicant getting admitted?

That's second year in a row. A bit surprised honestly but we move on : Stats : 2 publications in IEEE national conferences, 3 internships at Indias top labs : IIT + IISc + another top lab. Led 2 projects with a combined funding of over $80k. 6 other academic projects : mostly design, robotics and manufacturing related. President of a major club. Strong loR from Chancellor of univ, lab PI and a senior mech prof in my dept. hurts because its 2nd time but sometimes you just gotta let it go! Congrats to all the admits!!

No interviews and no published research, so was very surprised to be accepted! Past experiences: Mechanical Lead on NASA Mars Ice Challenge team, winning 2nd place and Best Technical Paper at the competition. Co-op experience at robotics startup and at NASA JPL. Have worked on-off in a robotics lab on campus and was the design lead on a robot that was awarded $200,000 by the US Department of Energy. Revived university robotics club after it died during the pandemic, serving as President for two terms, ultimately rebuilding it to 400+ members. Current President of school's ASME chapter.
