Political Science Graduate School Admission Results

Neither the softest nor harshest rejection I've received, but the lack of a signature was definitely unprofessional.

I am okay with this rejection. I just wanted them to notify me little earlier.

Pretty surprised by the rejection since I'm in with funding at a much better program. And yes, the unsigned email was a bit discourteous, especially after such a long wait for a comparatively small applicant pool.

Sad. At least it was free to apply. I wish that they had let us know earlier.

To the 3/22 poster who was accepted, have any more info from the letter? Mind sharing your profile (e.g. GPA, GRE scores, no. of publications, if any)? I'm waitlisted and hoping. My last and top choice of 3.

Emailed head of program - apparently they only have four spots a year for international (read, American) students. Wish I had known that bit earlier...

The letter is dated March 13, but I did not check it until today.

Letter dated March 20th. Originally waitlisted, but received acceptance today. No word on funding yet.

Surprised by this decision.

In at a better school though...

Deceptively thin envelope, and no funding: "I am sorry not to be able to offer you financial aid, but I do hope you will be able to continue your education at Boston University."

They mailed me in late February via postal service, but since I am in Asia, haven't received it yet. Had to e-mail the dept. to know. Wait-listed for funding.

I declined my spot and it looks like they gave it to someone else the same day--they had offered me funding already, so some money should be freed up.

I haven't received any funding yet. The email said that they would be reviewing funding decisions from now until mid April.
