Sociology Graduate School Admission Results

Had an interview last week. Called to check the status, and was notified that I’m on the waitlist.

Full Funding

I had a Skype interview last week with a CUNY professor who said that if I was waitlisted they would probably admit me in the end. Apparently due to funding constraints they can only admit exactly the number of students they have spots for.

I was accepted into the program, really feel good about this; however, I still have applications pending so fingers crossed ~~~ Also, got this email late afternoonish, also attending open house day.

Email said I was waitlisted. Open House invitation.

Received the email today (late afternoonish). Very excited, attending the Open House. I am waiting for more schools before I make a decision, but I really like a faculty member there. Congrats to those admitted and good to everyone !!!

Notified through an email from the graduate chair with the offer attached. Received full funding.

Was nominated for the University Fellows Program, which is probably why the notification came so early (university-wide programs often give the departments an early deadline to send their list of nominees)
