Sociology Graduate School Admission Results

I've heard that the environment in this department is pretty cut throat, so I'm kind of relieved as it didn't feel like a good fit.

Interviewed today with faculty. Will be receiving my official acceptance letter with financial offer next week. UGPA=3.90. Master's GPA=4.0. GRE Quant=155, Verbal=163. 4 publications, 5 manuscripts under review, numerous conference presentations, teaching experience, fellowships and grants, etc.

Will be receiving an official offer via phone next week. They apparently received a record number of applications this year. I have a number of publications (first-authored, sole-authored, and co-authored) under review and in print, as well as numerous conference presentations, teaching experiences, fellowships and grants. My research also aligns well with faculty interests. Good luck to everyone!

Waitlisted for funding, but excited all the same!

Received notification from graduate school via email. Not surprised, submitted some application material after the deadline. Congrats to those admitted, it's a strong program.

Contacted me, professor from the admission committee. Did my interview a few days later. Stated to be 15-20 min interview, but we spoke for almost an hour. Was very nice and it feels promising. He said applicants would hear in 3 weeks. | med-high GPA, 2 years research experience in labs and law firm, conducted own qual n quant study as undergrad (almost pub), lots of com mun. exp. etc. low gres lol
