Subfield American politics. Email from chair of admissions committee.

Not really surprised given the selectivity of their program, but I would have been a good fit in the department.

I look at my application status (ApplyTexas), and then I received an email. My application status says: "On the basis of their recommendation, your application has been denied. If you have questions, please write directly to the Committee in your major department".

$20K stipend for five years.

"Thank you for applying to the University of Washington's Political Science Doctoral Program. The Admission Committee has been reviewing files and hopes to have final decisions by February 25th. We will email each of you with final decisions. Please don't check with us unless you have not heard from the Graduate School by the end of the month. We understand that you are all anxious to know the outcome and many of you will be hearing from other schools and reviewing your options. We greatly appreciate your interest in our program and we will communicate with you by email as soon as possible."

Hoping for other departments; stay positive if you haven't heard yet.

Was denied a few years ago, so very excited to have been accepted this time! Nominated for fellowship, official funding decision to come in early March

3.2 UGPA, 3.2 Law School, 4.0 MAGPA

Great school, but won't be attending. Will free up spot for someone else.
