Hey, if anyone of you has received offer from this university in the Physics department and are not willing to accept it because you have other options then please please inform them of your decision as soon as possible. There is no reason in holding an offer which you are not considering to attend. Let others who are on the waiting list have the offer. Be mindful and considerate please. Thank you.

Two years research, no publications but several presentations. Rec letters from research mentors.

Deferred in January. No interview.

No publication, No GRE, 2 research in my college, 2 REU outside of my college. Subfield: Astrophysics, Gravity, Cosmology No interview, though exchanged a couple of emails with POI prior to the application.

Dont know what happened! I saw many students were accepted last year with relatively same or weaker profile than me. However, wish all the best to the fantastic students who are going to get offers.

Had an interview in December with a faculty member who was totally interested, encouraged me to apply, had fruitful discussions (knew very well my advisors and referees). Great words for my CV saying that I am "super-competitive".. blah blah ... After the application submission he/she changed his/her attitude for no reason. Bunch of liars without a reason... Thank God I have better options!! Best of luck to everyone, do not get disappointed you actually dodged a bullet !!!

Received an email on the status update. One rejection right after another. rnm, tui qian! !

HEP-Th. Same as previous post, no email but status update on application portal.

HEP-th. Didn't receive an email yet. Checked the portal and found a status update.

HEP-th. Supervisor knew PI but no real contact. 6 months of full time undergraduate research, 3 more part time, no pubs.

Email to check portal; No publications; 1.5 years of detector R&D research. HEP-Ex. Stay strong; evidently they're still putting out yes's.

Physics GPA 3.84, 6 months of HEP-ex research, no publications, two independent studies, one graduate school class

Email to check portal. Generic rejection. HepTh/HepPh. 2.5 years of research experience. Master's degree in Particle Theory. 3 projects on HepPh. No publications. The application deadline was too early to submit the best reco letter. Quite Expected result, was not my top choice anyway.
