English Graduate School Admission Results

I was accepted, but declined the offer.

I guess I was put on an informal waitlist, and since I'm not much enthusiastic about this program and didn't react, they decided to reject in late April. 3a/1r/1w

I reached out to the grad coordinator to check on my waitlist status and he reported he was unsure why the GC app hasn't updated but that I was rejected given the few spots for the incoming cohort (9) this year out of 300 applications. It was a kind rejection—congrats to everyone who got in!

Has anyone on the waitlist for funding heard anything yet?

Freestanding MA. Declined to be on the waitlist since it's already quite late, and will even take extra weeks to decide if I wish to be put on the waitlist.

1a/6r/0p - Only one (unfunded) PhD acceptance; 3 PhD applications were accepted for partially-funded master's programs instead. Tough cycle. I think I'm going to wait until next year.

Thank you again for your interest in Penn State's program." if you knew, then you should've sent out rejections long ago - not April 15th. waste of time & money.

Finally! So ridiculous and disrespectful to other programs for taking this long.

...anddd I got my update! Waitlisted, but so grateful not to have been rejected outright. Congrats to everyone who got in, and fingers-crossed I make it off the list (my first choice and dream school)!

Accepted off the waitlist. Offered a TA with a stipend and tuition waiver. I will be enthusiastically accepting admission but declining the TA.

Ignore waitlist! English folks -- I saw a lot of decisions from this department over the last few days... Anyone still waiting? For those that received a decision, when did you apply?

TTPB: I did send a very brief email thanking them for waitlisting me and stating my continued interest, but I never heard back or got any additional information until I was accepted through an automated system. Good luck!

Accepted of the waitlist. I already accepted another offer, so I declined.

Super thankful to have gotten in, but there's no mention of funding. They also let their applicants know really late.
