Request for interview from POI (phone call)

I received a generic rejection letter via email :( I have 3 years of post-undergraduate research, two publications, an MA in Psychology, excellent LOR, 1 year of clinical experience, excellent GRE scores.

Request for interview scheduled for 1/27. Two master's degrees (MA and MPH), 1 year of supervised clinical training, 6 years of research experience, solid LORs. This is my first time applying.

Request for phone interview from POI (email).

Invited to interview day on 1/18

Professor emailed rejection to me directly.

Professor requested phone interview for the following week.

POI emailed to say that I was a strong applicant and to ask preliminary questions to assess for overall lab and university fit. The questions were very similar to some phone/skype interviews that I have had. They informed me that the plan was to finish reviewing applications for their lab by the end of the week before sending out official invitations to interview day.

Notified of interview by head of clinical psychology program. Interview date 1/27

Invited to interview day via call from POI

Did a post-bac with a 3.8 GPA. Received email from DCT through Grad program director email address, with open house options Feb 3 or Feb 4.

Appears to be a mass email sent by DCT. Interview on 2/3 or 2/4; grad student social hour on 2/3.
