2 first-author papers in a top peer-reviewed journal in Mechanical Engineering; MSc GPA: 3.76/4; graduating from the top-tier program in the country; TOEFL iBT: 105; the best master's thesis in the university; 4 years of work experience; 3 strong LORs; myriad academic projects; and proficiency in various software and programming languages; I received an admission letter in late March with full funding and decided not to wait for other universities' decisions. I accepted immediately for four reasons: a great advisor who is successful, ambitious, and kind; an exciting project from a top US company; a friendly campus environment with supportive individuals in the program; and a comprehensive funding package including stipend, insurance, and tuition. The stipend amounts to a minimum of about 28,000(pre−candidacy)/39,000 (once in candidacy). Thank God, my endeavors paid off;

Hence, it is good that I did not get admission to such a program. Never be upset about not being admitted to such programs since you deserve better, don't doubt.

Applied for MS-PhD

The ME department accepted me 3 weeks ago. Still haven't received the official letter. They said all international applications go through "an audit" and it hasn't been completed yet in my case. Does anyone know how long this "audit" takes?

I guess my SOP is the reason for my rejection. No gre
