Respectfully declined their offer. All the best to the waitlisted! This was one of my toughest decisions. I just hope I don't regret it in future.

Declined their offer, 22k 9 month TA + RA. The university is in the middle of nowhere, I don't wish to spend the next 5 years of my life in a village (have wasted 5 such years already!). All the best to the waitlisted (if at all they had waitlists)

First acceptance! :) CMT theory. IIT affiliation. This year seems to be tough for international candidates. OSU was my safe school, but turned out to be ambitious. At least the physics department looks good (on paper). Don't lose your hope folks, things do work out!

Mailed them asking about my application. Applied to 12 schools, rejected from all. Most probably I will be taking a drop year. I think there were other factors apart from academics playing a role in the selection process, but I guess it would be too soon and juvenile to blame Trump for my graduate school rejections. This is just sad.

Has anyone heard from IU about admissions? Was told back in early March they were still reviewing applications... wonder how long they'll hold out. I'm not holding my breath at this point.

CMT. Rejected from MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, Cornell, Princeton, UCSB, UCSD, Chicago, UMD and now Penn. I have one internship at Stanford and another at TIFR. Have a APL paper. IIT student. Good scores, good gpa, good LoR. Still all rejections. Wow! Trump, wow! I wanted to go to a good grad school. This is really sad.
