Communication Studies Graduate School Admission Results

Just got accepted into this program and will be moving to New Mexico for a year. Has anyone made a facebook group or anything like that. Going to be looking for a roommate.

have anyone who was waitlist got off the waitlist? or still waiting to hear back from the waitlist?

To the poster below sorry to respond so late. I attempted to create a group on Facebook but I would need to add at least one person to start the group lol if you want to post your email so I can create one I will do that. If you don’t feel comfortable that’s okay too.

To the poster asking about CSUF, I have noticed the comments section in my application status has a number too! Not sure what it means either... Mine is under review, that is all I know.

Pretty surprised I got in but really really happy about it.... My combined GRE scores were not good, and I do not have a super high GPA compared to the average of both of those of people applying. I am technically an out of state applicant, but I am from VT and lived there up until I went to college. I have one year of working as an SLPA in five different schools so I am sure that is what helped me get in. I am waiting to hear back from Utah, Montana, Sacramento, Boulder. If I get in to Boulder, I will be declining UVM most likely.

Interviewed and notified next day. Turning down the offer, hope it gives somebody else a spot.

Anyone else receive a "STATUS OF RECOMMENDATION FOR ADMISSION"? Super excited, will probably be accepting! I was interviewed on 3/11.

AA in Computer Info Systems. 4.0 GPA. CSUN undergrad.

CSD GPA: 3.76. Nearly 10 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities, some research experience & 2 years of SLPA experience. Rejected by 8 schools in 2015, felt very discouraged but tried again and was finally accepted somewhere :) I’m so thankful :)

Major GPA: 3.97 Work experience: tutor at The Reading Clinic, behavior technician, special education paraeducator

Waitlisted on March 15th and accepted April 17th!

I had a low GPA, but a decent last 60 credit hours and solid GRE. I took my gap year to work in ABA and gain experience. I was on the waitlist for MONTHS, if you see this, don’t give up!!!!
