TTPB: Which course did you apply for MCS or MSCS? How did you get the notification for the change in status of your application?

Rejected. Found it on Quest (no email notification). Had 77% undergrad and 85% MSc average. My MSc thesis deals quantum information (quantum error correction codes) and I taught myself the entire branch of quantum computing in a few months (which were hectic). Didn't publish any papers (which is the only negative aspect in my opinion). Nonetheless, best of luck to all of you!

I'm waiting to hear from UCI and purdue too. But I'm pretty convinced it's going to be a rejection

Anyone still waiting on UC Irvine, Columbia and Purdue ?

MMath Thesis or cousework : Are all admits out already? Should we expect only rejections now since they said they would let us know before 29th May and it is 19th of May today already

Got recommendation from ACM fellow professor, two other recommendations from renowned professors in their field, currently a master student from a prestigious university in Europe with EU scholarship, top grades in my masters, intern and research in the last 2 years during masters, 3 years in R&D organization, and have been in contact with a prospective professor. The professor told me that my application was already filtered from the first stage when the committee "count" my grades, so he didn't get to see my documents, not even recommendation were read by the committee. The only logical reason is because my bachelor is from a third-world country. If you come from 3rd world and don't have the highest GPA in your campus, just stay away don't waste your time. They won't bother at all even if you have good recommendation and experiences.

Ttpb: I saw that many students were rejected back in feb and march, based on yocket. I personally think that whoevers left now is on a waiting list. Plus one more thing, the program deadlines have been extended to june 30. Just saw it on the viterbi grad admission page, maybe thats the reason for the tardiness

TTPB: My application status is pending as well. From the general trend on gradcafe it seems that the status of Data Science specialization is pending. I have written to USC as well. But, I did not get a reply.

I got the status updated on Quest as 'DENY'. And after a week, I received this email.

Nothing special. No reason given.

Any Applied Data Science applicants left here? haven't recieved a decision yet, applied back in december. I've emailed the viterbi grad department 3 times, and they haven't even responded to one of my emails. I thought USC was one of the competent universities but my assumption is turning out to be wrong.

TTPB: Yup for Fall 2020. Their site is showing different enrollment options because of COVID19.

Machine Learning -GRE Q:166 V:150 -TOEFL:108/120 -Undergrad: University in small country(not well known) -1 NIPS workshop paper -3 recommendation letters from not very known professors(but all have publications in top venues) 2 of which are from another country and not affiliated with my Uni -grades not that high(and top % in my class) Is there a group for the admitted students?
