- Got recommendation from ACM fellow professor, two other recommendations from renowned professors in their field, currently a master student from a prestigious university in Europe with EU scholarship, top grades in my masters, intern and research in the last 2 years during masters, 3 years in R&D organization, and have been in contact with a prospective professor. The professor told me that my application was already filtered from the first stage when the committee "count" my grades, so he didn't get to see my documents, not even recommendation were read by the committee. The only logical reason is because my bachelor is from a third-world country. If you come from 3rd world and don't have the highest GPA in your campus, just stay away don't waste your time. They won't bother at all even if you have good recommendation and experiences.
