Graduate School Admission Results

Took them long enough! Was quite surprised as I was rejected from NYU, BU, and CUNY. Admissions portal still says Under Review. Received email with admissions letter stating there would be a formal letter of acceptance to follow.

Has anyone who is not a Canadian applicant heard back? I'm getting impatient but have seen past years people have heard back in April.... seems late

To the person below: when were you interviewed? I had my interviews during 2.25-27 but haven't got any feedback. Quite anxious.

3 research papers, 2 national hackathon winner, 4 research experiences and interns. Tier 1 (non-IIT) college in India. CS Undergrad.

I got this about a week ago. Weird there are no acceptances listed.

4 years of post-BSc research experience with 4 Journals and 2 Conference Publications, all IEEE. Dear XXX: We are very sorry to inform you that we are unable to admit you into our PhD program for 2021. As you may have anticipated, we receive hundreds of excellent applications such as yours, but yet we are only able to admit a limited number. We know this decision is a disappointment. However, we are confident that you have other wonderful options for your graduate education. We wish you much continued success in all of your academic and professional endeavors. Most importantly, we wish you good health and hope that you remain safe from the Corona-19 virus.

no interview- has anyone heard from FSU theatre?

TTPB: Okay, good to know, I was worried for a moment! I definitely have a great match with the program, and don't think there's a high likelihood of much movement on waitlists this semester, so getting another waitlist or rejection would have been crushing. Maybe we'll see each other there in the Fall!

I don't really care about the rejection, but the "Scholarship below that of admitted applicants" evaluation is absolutely rude and uncalled for.

A required video statement I made was never even viewed? Duke is a joke.

TTBP: This should be the initial round of interviews the first week of March... They emailed me in Feb to schedule meetings for the week of Mar 1. But we had to reschedule the meeting due to time conflict.

Funded for 4 years + options for 5th. So validating

If you're looking to apply to this program in the future I would HIGHLY recommend you reach out to potential PIs first. Made the interview process seamless and the students who got in this cycle all seem to have done this.
