Graduate School Admission Results

Ignore the waitlist. Does anyone hear back from this school?

TBP: I had an interview about three weeks ago, after which they made an informal offer (accepted via an email from the coordinator, didn't see the funding offer) which I declined. They said they were expecting a very small cohort.

Accepted off the waitlist. Interviewed POI last week. Very happy and excited! Will decline other offers soon.

Ignore acceptance status - I just want to share that I declined the offer from UMich this morning. Hope someone gets in soon!

Saw an update on the portal, no notification email. Already committed to another program, so honestly don't care :D

NOT WL: Has anyone heard from Stony Brook?

Cumulative GPA 3.7, CSD GPA 3.95. Interviewed at the end of Feb and reached out last week for an update in which they said they were exactly where they would expect to be in reviewing applications. Got an email this afternoon with a GA application attached. Will not be attending as I have accepted elsewhere!

Notified by email to check online portal. FAQ said I would hear back in Feb, but I could never get an updated timeframe even after many phone calls and emails.

My portal still says pending, but I emailed the director of admissions for the program to notify them that I will be attending a different program. I hope this helps others who are still waiting to hear!

Received the following email from the visiting assistant dean for admissions and financial aid. Thank you for your Fall 2021 application to the UIC Jane Addams College of Social Work program. Every year the college receives a large number of applications with a good deal of merit but can only accommodate the capacity. Since we cannot offer you admission at this moment, we have placed you on our waitlist. Decisions for candidates on the waiting list will be made by the second week of August.
