Email from the program coordinator. Profs will contact me over the next three weeks to set up interviews via zoom. The date on the email says 01/19

I received the automatic email from the department before receiving the acceptance letter with contact information and a funding offer. I understand this is abnormal, but is it a cause for concern?

Had the interview on 18th Jan, and was more an informal chat than an interview.

TTPB - Most important things I learned in the info session: 1. All your interviewers are interested in you joining their research group. 2. if you get direct admitted into a lab rather than admitted as a rotation student, you will now be admitted into two labs. you then rotate in those two your first year. 3. There is a second "interview" in late feb where you tour the labs virtually of the groups interested in recruiting you. this is prior to admissions which come out in march

To the Syracuse posters - I did a prelim interview with KA in early January and was invited to interview on 2/18 or 2/25. I was told an email invite would be sent out around this time with a more formal invitation from the program and opportunity to select my preferred interview date. I have not yet received this email but it should be coming soon. If your POI didn't do prelim interviews this may be why you have not yet heard anything.
