Physics Graduate School Admission Results

IELTS 7, Papers 2. Research Experience 2+ years, Teaching Assistant 2+ years. The project scholarship offer advertisement was notified via an automatic notification from Google on 16 March (it was published on the university website on 14 March). I applied on the last day, 30 March (it was free to apply). Received the interview invitation email on 23 April. I appeared in the MS Teams interview on 5 May. Received the professor's offer on May 6. Received the conditional offer letter for a PhD in EEE on 26 June (yeah, they are that prompt). Requested them to revise the offer to convert it to Physics(as I originally applied for it). Received the amended conditional offer letter on 24 July. Started the credibility verification after that and completed it by 26 August. Received the unconditional offer letter on 1 September. Received the ATAS certificate of 4 September (for which I applied on 24 July). Applied for the visa on 24 September and received the visa decision of 1 October(no priority service taken). I hope to start my PhD research journey in the last week of October. Why did I write this much, guys? Hang tight. I was rejected more times than Robert the Bruce (go check history, who the hell he is) .

Well, actually, I don’t know. The grad-co ghosted me. She/stopped replying to my email in May. I hope TAMU Physics will recruit a responsible person.

I was waitlisted for a while. Then the grad-co replied with a sorry email.

Physics Gre

It's July, I knew it was a no, but figured if they had anyone else still sitting in the aether. Notification was weird, mainly three lines that were very focused on letting me know a 3.0 GPA was required.

No GRE. 4.0 GPA in M.S. in Engineering Physics. No publications.
