I got an email from the manager of the graduate program, and it was cc'd to the head of the graduate program. This is really a dream come true, and I'm just really overjoyed. I have other schools that I would also like to get into, mainly as their closer to my family, but with how competitive the admissions process is, I'm grateful for this acceptance truly. 1a/2r/13p

Prelim interview with PI! Super thrilled about this

Prelim interview. Received an email directly from PI

ugh - horrible portal system - I got a notification to check for status change at 1am Wednesday, but no change until just now. Generic message but first line just says "denied".

After over a month since I saw people post responses from UMass on here, I emailed and asked if they had any updates. Was told, "I'm afraid that we still are not in a position to offer you a spot in our incoming class. Many students who were admitted are still deciding on their plans, and unfortunately many don't let us know until the deadline of April 15. If there is any way to let you know of a decision prior to April 15, I promise that I will be in touch with you." So technically a waitlist, but basically a rejection.

I received the notification this morning that my application has been denied. This is my second rejection so far, and I am still waiting to hear back from Utah, Wyoming, and Delaware. This seems to be a very tough year for admissions.
