TTPB: I'm not sure. But things have been delayed everywhere.

TPB: What do you think about the masters program? Are the admits to the masters program out yet?

TPB: Since they've already organised Visitors', I guess those who are yet o receive any communication have been waitlisted (if they have one), or are staring at imminent rejection and regret letter. Since no one has received a rejection, they'll mass-mail everyone, in which case, I must say I find it to be extremely rude. It has been an extraordinary year for everyone, and making rejects wait for so long isn't comforting at all. They should finish it once and for all so that we can move on.

TTPB who got unofficial offer from UIUC. Congrats. Did u get an interview from ur POI or did u contact the POI first?? Also, could you please tell me the initials of your POI and their area

TTPB: Yes, if you haven't anything from UIUC at this moment, it's 99.99% a rejection. I'm currently an undergraduate in UIUC and both of my POIs said that all PhD offers are out by 3.7 (virtual campus tour day for incoming PhDs). But still, you could try contact the department and try to get into the MSCS which I think is also a very decent program.

Can it be assumed that if we have heard nothing by this point, there is no hope? Purdue just had their prospective students event, and I assume UIUC is on a similar schedule.

TTPB: Yes, I was accepted in early February and the visit day was on February 26. Not sure if that's of any help.

TTPB: Our Graduate Admissions Committee has finalized application review. PhD applicants offered admission to our program have been notified. Applicants not offered admission, will receive notification at a later date.

Just declined a fully funded offer from this places. Hope it helps someone in the waitlist!

TTPB: Nope, nothing. Why is everything so delayed? Some people have apparently been offered, according to the entries below, but that's a long time back.

GPA 89/100, 2 years research experience in astronomy, no publications expected rejection based on the number of applicants and funding this year, it's my dream school because of the numerical relativity research.

Has anyone heard from this university?
