TPB: Yes, the interview is real. If you check previous years, they have interviewed international students for the first round. However, I know several people who were admitted in later rounds in previous years without an interview.

Asking me to schedule a interview late this week

In the past few years there have been a few interview posts here on GC. I think that these interviews are mostly to assess the applicants English skills rather than an actual formal interview. Trying to not read too much into it (I also haven't gotten anything yet).

I'm an international student but I haven't heard anything from them...does that imply IR??

Interviewed with 6 faculty on Thursday. Accepted Monday.

Got an email to schedule a short interview (no additional info)... GPA is from master's at a top 5 US econ department... 1 year post-MA RA experience and 1.5 years of RA experience during undergrad.

Got admission this morning! Gre waived, had an interview with four committee members last Thursday. So glad!!!

I got provisional acceptance into the program until I finish a couple of courses I am currently taking. I come from a different academic background. I got my masters in Food material science. I have presented at 3 international and 1 regional conference. I have two publications in preparation with relevant background in ChemE.
