The admission committee took an interview on October 21. They asked some basic chemical engineering questions. Mostly from Transport Phenomena, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, and Thermodynamics. I answered 11/12 correctly. They told me within a few weeks I will get the decision; however, I get the decision the next day.

PI secured but funding didn’t come through

Finally got in! It's unbelievable. Had an interview in early Feb. Waitlisted for 2 weeks and then accepted!

Met with professor several times and was introduced to members of the lab. PI said it was a difficult and highly constrained year for graduate admissions.

Rejected after interview - I was told interview went very well and there were not enough spots available in the incoming cohort.

Completed my undergrad at CMU ChemE
