Interview with a professor that I did not mention in SOP

From a top CS school. No publications.

Low ranked undergraduate state school. 1 published research paper. Had a telephone interview with a professor in a different group from those I indicated interest in on my application.

Interview by POI at Berkeley. Talked about my interests and what kind of work I like. Said the results will be out in a week. Two at max. Best of luck everybody!

Can anyone tell what question they usually ask?

8 international conference publications. 3 first author, 1 second author, 1 third author, 3 fourth author. Master gpa 86.5/100 rank 1/29. T:105. The email said I had strong record, so the committee wanted an informal interview. I did it via skype, and was nervous. I don't think I did a good job.

Phone interview with a CS professor, who said the committee "[is] very interested in" my application. Talked about the CS Ph.D program at Berkeley in general. I have no publications, but did a lot of independent work projects and teaching. From a top CS school.

Email from UCB professor requesting a Skype interview! I have 5 publications, plus 3 papers in review. I have done five research-oriented internships in national labs and industry research centers. Did my undergrad in CS at a top-10 school.
