Have anyone heard from College park or contact the department? my status is under program review the deadline was Dec 15!

Pretty encouraging letter. I submitted just before the deadline and have an end of the alphabet name. If you haven't heard yet, I'd guess that it's WL of some degree.

TPB: Did they explicitly tell you that you won't have the tuition fee waived? The end of my email is as follows: "At this stage, we would be interested in knowing whether you have already decided to accept our offer or not. We would be grateful for a quick answer. If we do not hear from you by 1st April 2021, we will assume you are not interested in our offer anymore. Should you accept our offer – which we very much hope – please let us have the details of any external source of funding you might have."

Email to set up a 25 minute interview. It seems like they are sending out these requests on a rolling basis because I saw people posted these intereview requests earlier in the week.

They send an email asking if I would still be interested in the program and about other places that I've been admitted to.

I am also interested to know the person who has been wait listed on 26th Feb for Applied Economics whether you have been actually selected for wait list. mine has not change since my application submission.

To the person who said they were waitlisted, have you actually been waitlisted or are you just asking? I still see no change in my status.

I applied to Tuscaloosa. My exact status is "Awaiting Graduate School Evaluation." I only know I have been rejected because the apartment said they have already sent out offers but were unable to view my application or reject me since the graduate school had not released my application. If you haven't heard back yet you were rejected. I'm not saying I was a guaranteed applicant but it's frustrating that I paid $65, wrote a personal statement, and got my references but was literally never given a chance to be considered.

to the post below on 02/27/2021 regarding the University Of Alabama rejection, what is the application portal status? Is it U of Alabama Tuscaloosa or Birmingham? Thank you

TPB: It is not about SOP. Recommenders should take the effort to call the department and sort of convience them you are a strong student. After that I guess it is good luck.

I found out I wasn't even considered for the program. I applied in December but the graduate school had not approved my application so they moved on without me. This was probably my first choice school but I am almost done with them after this. They said there's still a chance if someone declines and the grad school decides to allow me to be considered but this is awful. A warning to all future applicants, apply before November at least because the grad school said they didn't have enough time to approve it. If it's December you're too late despite what the deadline says.
