Fortunately I've already been accepted to one of my top choices, so I will probably ask to be removed from the wait list so others stand a better chance. Good luck to everyone else!

A little surprising, but this year is just sorta ridiculous.

I was accepted but no word of funding! Did someone email them to ask about funding situation? They did not answer!

[TPB,have interviewed last week] Same here. But I remembered the post few days ago indicated we would know the result in two weeks, so one week to go! Anyone knows the updated information?

I appreciate the straightforward notification. No generic "check your portal" email, just a direct email that said sorry, can't offer you admission. I knew this program watch a reach for me but I had to give it a try! I'll be accepting another offer. Congrats to all those admitted!

Fully Funded. Interviewed a week prior to the offer. GPA is grad.

Graduate GPA 3.75/4.00 (lower due to personal problems, explained in SOP). Only had Single Variable Calculus and Matrix Algebra in undergrad maths. Used MOOCs to take more advanced courses.

What a troll email. It starts out: "Your application for admission to the Ph.D. Program in the Department of Economics at Boston University has been favorably reviewed" before saying "At the present time, however, we are unable to extend to you an offer of admission for Fall 2021, but we remain very interested and have placed you on our waiting list" yeah okay that was a wild 2 second emotional journey. At least it's a WL and not a Reject. Might email them and ask about wait list size and stuff.

Gutted.

[Not interview] Interviewed last week, yet haven't heard back since then. Anyone in the same boat? Does this mean IR?

Extremely disappointed. Thank you for your interest in a graduate program at the University of Rochester. The applicant pool was extremely well qualified, and our faculty committees faced difficult decisions. We regret to inform you that you have not been selected for admission to the Economics PhD program for the upcoming academic year. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

I expect that anyone who has not received a waitlist now is an IR.
