Economics PhD Graduate School Admission Results

Sigh... Id received: 14 Jan., rejection: 28 April, no waitlist, no reserve list, no transcript drop. Via LFY and via email a few hours afterwards. LL.M. from LSE (with Mid-Merit), 1 published article in an international journal, 2 research assistant positions, 1 offer to be a teaching assistant and a very niched PhD proposal, with 2 LSE professors nominated as supervisors (from whom I had previously received guidance re my proposal). Best of luck!

TPB. I received an interview on mid March but didn't hear from them until now. Just check the application portal and the status is still under review. The Econ Department at York has more than 40 faculties but they even can not complete the application review.

Got notification on the online admissions portal saying that I have been put on the waitlist. The decisions were supposed to be rolling out in April and it is almost the end of April. Any news about the Econ Ph.D. waitlist from anyone?

I already enrolled other better program, but TAMU in this year was way too arrogant a***ole. They can send out final decision on funding or reply to e-mails at least for those who received their acceptance in Febuary, but they did not have minimum respect. : (

TPB: Me too. Hoping that this wait will bring a miracle.

TPB: It's true Rutgers has a high dropout rate. If you are a fellowship student, then pls note that fellows have a very good track record in terms of passing qualifying exams. Also, Rutgers is better ranked than UC River.
