We appreciate the time you have invested in submitting your application. The committee in charge of selecting the candidates has carefully reviewed your application for the early admission round. At this point in time, we cannot offer you a scholarship or a place in the combined master / Ph.D. program. Only very few candidates got accepted during the first round and the majority of places has yet to be filled. Your submitted material looks promising and we will come back to you in April. If you have declared that you also want your application to be considered for the regular M.Sc. in Economics program, please note that (when being accepted there) you can still participate in the research track but without funding. Your application certainly belongs to the good ones and it will be reviewed again for the PhD. track in the main admission round. Good luck for the second round!"

Rejected w/o interviews

Literally wrote the application within one hour before the deadline. Ivy undergrad, Oxbridge master, but worst fit so not unhappy about it.

Didn't have the mental energy to submit it yesterday. Predoc top 5 + top 20 UG. 1a/1w/0r/20p

no predoc but extensive undergrad research w/ 2 papers. expected nonetheless.
