Economics PhD Graduate School Admission Results

For those saying they're only guaranteed funding for the first two years, read your email more carefully. It says they will definitely renew funding for the full five years if you make satisfactory progress. Their standard offer is for five years contingent on academic progress, which is normal.

Missed the first deadline

On the funding wait list. Seems like they send out a lot of admissions without funding.

Placed on a "priority waitlist". "We hope to be able to offer admission and funding to some applicants on the waitlist eventually. We will be making decisions on an ongoing basis until April 15th, but hope to contact you before then."

Both Economics and Finance have already sent out their invitations to interview, and it is unlikely at this stage that further invites will be sent out. If you have not yet received any communication with regards to interview, then unfortunately it is unlikely that your application will be progressing to the next stage. The final outcome of your application will be available to you by early March.
