Computer Science Masters Graduate School Admission Results

BITS Pilani, non-cs with 6 month research experience but no pubs. Was a very ambitious choice so no hard feelings.

Standard rejection e-mail.

1 year research ex at a top CS school in the country. Publication in process. 1.5 years work ex as an SDE.

Generic rejection by email. Apparently over 1900 applicants. Had already realized that I was rejected when I did not receive an acceptance along with others last week.

Rejection from both Ph.D. and Masters via generic e-mail.

MLT I regret to inform you that we are unable to admit you into the M.S. in Language Technologies program in the Language Technologies Institute in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. We received over 750 graduate applications this year in Language Technologies, a large percentage of which are highly qualified. However, our graduate program can support only a limited number of new students. This makes our decision very difficult, as we have to turn down many promising applicants. Unfortunately, we could not admit all applicants despite very good academic records and supporting letters. We hope you have been accepted by another graduate program of your choice, and wish you the best in your career.

I was flying to Cambridge for my vasectomy when I heard a loud voice from outside the airplane, it was homelander! - “Do you want to study computer science at Harvard?”, I was flabbergasted. “I do not trust this unless Dr. Harvard University himself delivers it” I said to which he replied “This was a test, and I'm amazed. I AM Dr. Harvard University, and your vigilance has made me hardvard. You are now Harvard MSCS” as he blew baby powder and dipped.

Didn't write GRE. With the 2 weeks timeline for accepting offers, they will keep releasing results as and when people decline the offer.
