Computer Science, University Of British Columbia, Vancouver Honestly, UBC, if you want to reject an application, you should let the applicant know as early as possible. I could have applied for the study permit a month ago for another university but was waiting for this decision, it turns out, for no reason.

Computer Science, Brit Very generic reject. Pretty sad as it was one of my dream universities. Not having LORs from profs familiar with the UBC faculty might have hurt my chances given that UBC admission process is LOR centric. Best luck to the rest who are still waiting!

Data Science, Ryerson University For International students, need not apply Ryerson Data Science if you apply other universities, probably more reputable universities like UT, UBC, Mcgill might give you an offer but Ryerson rejects you. If you look into the intake statistics, only approx. 4 intakes for international student (full-time)

Computer Science, University Of Toronto Admitted to the Theory Group. No interview. Graduated from UBC (Canada) a couple years ago. GPA is like 90+/100. No publications. Will accept the offer as I only applied to UofT and UWaterloo. Like Toronto (the city) better.

Computer Science, University Of British Columbia Rejected from UAlberta, UBC and McGill. I'm trying not to associate the rejections with my self-worth at this point. 1 year full-time research experience. 2 AAAI, 1 ICLR and 1 Springer Nature papers. 1 in review at TPAMI and 1 in review at ICCV. Strong LoRs from Google Brain and Institute Chair Prof at IIT-Bombay. 1 AI startup internship, 2 research internships at top-tier labs, 2xGSoC in AI/ML. Strong research fit with profs and several National Awards. Congratulations to those who made it!

Data Science, University Of British Columbia Conditional offer from UBC Vancouver. Conditional upon 3k CAD, and sending official transcripts and certificates. Says nothing about scholarship or anything. Full payment disclosed. (45k for Intl. Stu). Also says to prepare for physical presence in August 21, as classes may be held on-campus.

Library And Information Science, University Of California Los Angeles notification that "decision has been made in portal" in my email this morning. Super happy, though due to funding situation will probably turn it down in favor of UBC.
