Computer Science, University Of Alberta Hey all, don't worry. I am Indian, from one of the top NITs. I am a former MITACS intern (Which means I already have 15k of funding by MITACS graduate fellowship). I have four top tier papers. Very strong GPA (topper of my class). Alberta was my safe choice. I got admission from UWisc (full funded masters), UCSD (with TA), UBC (full funded), UMaryland and UWaterloo (full funded). But rejected by Alberta. I think publications and GPA are not important for them. Keep working hard on your research. You all deserve better. Cheers.

Data Science, University Of British Columbia TTPB : I also received email notification from UBC about being wait listed. How many students are there on waitlist this year?(approx number) Do you know when will they notify their final decision? Thanks in advance

Computer Science, University Of British Columbia Yeah hi, I just wanted to ask as many people are saying they have been waitlisted. Did you guys receive any kind of mail in which it was stated? or is it just an assumption. Not limited to UBC but to other uni too. I know some uni do send this mail but others don't. Thanks!

I just want to find out how much longer do I have to wait since seems like I am being waitlisted (please share even if you plan to attend UBC eventually).

Computer Science, Georgia Institute Of Technology Expected. Had 1 paper in an International conference. Anyway have admits from UBC, Waterloo and Amherst. Any suggestions which to go for among them?

Political Science, University Of Toronto Canadian, theory. BA/MA from UBC. Received an offer via email last week with funding that included tuition plus an $18k fellowship and a $7k scholarship for the first year and then tuition + $18k per year guaranteed for another four years. Given two weeks to decide but declined the offer today - will be attending Princeton.
