To the poster below: I am also waiting to hear back from the iSchool. I reached out and was told that they are determining results in batches, and that the last batch should be completed mid-June. However, I also contacted them in late April and they said everything would be done in May, so who knows?

To the post below asking about track, I am ACSES(/ICS) track. I did not see the offer letter/email until 10:30 pm est on April 15th, but I phoned Barry yesterday at 5:30 est and after looking it up for a minute he said I am admitted and that the website will be updated later.

Shoutout to UT Austin for being extra unnecessary. After being rejected almost exactly 2 months ago they mailed me today to check the portal for my admissions decision - I logged in just to be informed that I've been rejected, again. Great job guys.

I had given up hope but so excited! Slightly exasperated that it took so long but they were always very honest about where they were in the process. If you're stressed just ask!

UT-Austin was way too late getting back. It feels like they stole my application fee. The acceptance deadlines have passed at many other universities. I have already interviewed for assistantships at UIUC and accepted an offer, started academic advising, and I pretty much know what my schedule will be in the fall for work and classes.

Waiting list cleared. Got admitted to the program. Thanks to the people who gave up their seats. Congrats to everyone who got admitted to the schools of their choices.

I'm disappointed in how this was handled. As previously noted, the application portal apparently kept all rejected candidates "in review" for the entirety of the decision process. I emailed in March to ask if there was any word and was told they'd let everyone know by April 15. (Apparently, another poster called around when I emailed and was told that he'd been rejected but that it wouldn't be official until April.) April 15 came and went, and they just released the decision today, three days later. They didn't even bother to send out rejection emails. If nothing else, they should've been consistent in how they handled people's queries when the "review" period lapsed so far. I'd already come to terms with it back in February, but a rejection would have been more professional than this weird limbo status for so many months. This program was my top choice and I had planned to reapply next year if I didn't get in, but I don't think I want to anymore. There doesn't seem to be much consideration (or consistency) going on over there.

I want to post a detailed note here for future applicants, as it seems there isn't much on this forum for this program. I applied after the early admissions deadline of December 1st. This program does rolling admissions until May 1st. I had a 1.5-hour long phone interview with my POI on 4/2, mostly talking about research interest and the milestones I plan to hit each year of the program. The official offer from the University came 4 days later. Full funding w/ $17,500 stipend guaranteed and more fellowship decisions pending that may increase the stipend. Undergrad GPA was mediocre, but I had a 3.9 masters GPA from an Ivy League, and 2 years full-time as a research coordinator at an Ivy League medical center. 6 pubs/presentations. It was a grueling admissions cycle for me, with mostly rejections (Columbia, Cornell, CUNY) and 1 offer (this program). I'm thrilled with the outcome and excited to move to Austin. Good luck future applicants.

I got offers from CMU, Northwestern, UTexas and finally chose CMU. Hope someone in wl of NU and UTexas got admitted.
