- I want to post a detailed note here for future applicants, as it seems there isn't much on this forum for this program. I applied after the early admissions deadline of December 1st. This program does rolling admissions until May 1st. I had a 1.5-hour long phone interview with my POI on 4/2, mostly talking about research interest and the milestones I plan to hit each year of the program. The official offer from the University came 4 days later. Full funding w/ $17,500 stipend guaranteed and more fellowship decisions pending that may increase the stipend. Undergrad GPA was mediocre, but I had a 3.9 masters GPA from an Ivy League, and 2 years full-time as a research coordinator at an Ivy League medical center. 6 pubs/presentations. It was a grueling admissions cycle for me, with mostly rejections (Columbia, Cornell, CUNY) and 1 offer (this program). I'm thrilled with the outcome and excited to move to Austin.
