Funded. I'm what you might describe as ecstatic.

Spoke with the program director Dr Anderson and she informed me IU will not be going to the waitlist this year. They already filled their class.

I've taken myself off the waitlist for Indiana -- I was pretty high up on there, McCarty wouldn't quite specify how high, but he was confident that I would be accepted (his words "it's very likely, but not certain" that I would, "in the fullness of time", be accepted into the program with full support). Best of luck to those on the list!

To the poster below. Sorry about that. The current situation is not optimistic, I guess both of us have already been rejected. The chance still remains, but is little.I've not got any news from iub and my potential professor in last seven days. So, I don't know my application status, maybe I was rejected too. Because I've two other admissions, I can stand one more rejection. International students are indeed poor. Hope you can face it and not give up.

To the poster below, I'm really very frustrated getting rejections from 7 uni out of 8. I expected to get admission from IUB, coz it was really fantastic interview. But i was rejected. I Think i will not be given a chnace as i'm an international student. Later i contacted to my potential professor , he replied me : "I gather from your note that you must have received an official rejection from our department. I'm sorry to hear the news--I actually hadn't heard that officially. I know that we had been waiting to hear from another candidate and he has apparently accepted our offer for graduate study. Indeed, if another position opens up, you will be high on our list of potential applicants." So do you think it is very likely that i will be call, in case someone declines ?

To respond to the iub applicant. I received a letter from graduate advisor, saying that"The answer I can give you is that you are currently second in line to receive a fellowship" ,does it mean I am just behind you in the waitinglist. I equally hope to go to iub, it's so sad that you are highly likely to receive a fellowship and I will be rejected. Anyway, hope you can attend iub.

If someone has better offer than Indiana, please decline this, as i have no other choices right now and am on the top in the waiting list. Please help me.

I was told I was the first on the waiting list for funding and I finally heard back today! I got full funding! Thank you IU and to whoever might have chosen to not attend! I am looking forward to the fall!!!
