- To the poster below, I'm really very frustrated getting rejections from 7 uni out of 8. I expected to get admission from IUB, coz it was really fantastic interview. But i was rejected. I Think i will not be given a chnace as i'm an international student. Later i contacted to my potential professor , he replied me : "I gather from your note that you must have received an official rejection from our department. I'm sorry to hear the news--I actually hadn't heard that officially. I know that we had been waiting to hear from another candidate and he has apparently accepted our offer for graduate study. Indeed, if another position opens up, you will be high on our list of potential applicants." So do you think it is very likely that i will be call, in case someone declines ?
