Are all the results for UIUC MSME program out? I've not seen a lot too many decisions posted anywhere and they haven't given a rejection either. with the 15th April deadline in two days, is there any update from them?

Has anyone any idea about UIUC MS program decisions? ; except for one or two scantily distributed decision here or there, haven't really seen any developments. They are also one of the schools bound by the Apr-15th resolution and still not a peep from them.

Today I was emailed by two universities, one rejection and one acceptance. I received an email of unofficial acceptance with a five-year funding offer. Double major in mechanical engineering and physics. TOEFL: 101/120. I took GRE in 2018 but didn't send any results. One publication at a leading journal in my field and a preprint at the time of application. No more waiting for McGill to announce the results. I will accept the offer. Good luck to all. I was emailed at 5:50 AM CDT this morning. I applied for the MS degree, but received two offers. One is an acceptance for MS only with no guaranteed funding (unless I secure an RA). The other is a PhD acceptance with a five-year funding guarantee (larger monthly stipend for year 1 for 11 months, really good monthly stipend for year 2-5 for 9 months). This second offer doesn't commit me to continue in the PhD program after I finish the MS (no penalty for leaving after MS, although I would probably finish the PhD personally). Not what I initially applied for, but really tempted to accept the second offer, this was definitely worth the long wait. Super excited! Good luck to the rest of you!

Has anyone heard anything about Masters admits? Kindly share any relevant info as to how long will they take for sending out masters rejections/admits. Response to my last query said they would release it by 21 March but still no updates..

After working in industry for two years after my MS degree I'm going back for a PhD. Accepted with a fellowship and invitation to visit in February.

They referred in Email that " This offer shows our recognition of your potential, our confidence in your ability to succeed in your graduate studies at UIUC, and confidence in you fulfilling our Ph.D. program goal" Since I applied for Master degree, I'm kind of confused with above sentence. So I asked them via Email and they told me that transition MS to PhD is very natural.. No fund from ME dept. Also my TOEFL score is less than their minimum requirement, so that they asked me to take ESL.
