Received an email to check the portal.

Five rejections strong! This was certainly not a great year to apply; congrats to anyone accepted to any anthro PhD program this year!

Letter said they were impressed with me but just didn't have room this year. Honored I made it to the final round. Combined Anthro and FES.

"I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission. As you know, the very high number of extraordinary candidates far exceeds the number of places we have in each program, and we are not able to admit many excellent candidates."

Received an email stating I had an application status update. Opened the portal to a generic rejection letter.

Email to check portal; expected. The wait continues! Stay sane everyone--

No interview, so was expecting this. Disappointed as it was my first choice :(

To the poster below: I also have heard nothing about Anthro and F&ES. But I assume it's a reject since they told me I'd have to get accepted into Anthro first, and then considered for the combined program, and I haven't gotten interviewed or anything.

TPB: Did any of you heard back from Yale applied to Anthro & FES studies? Thanks!

Feeling a bit desperate because I like the program so much...If anyone got into the sociocultural track at Yale but is accepting the offer from another school that they like better, I would really appreciate it if you could let the school know and make the opportunities happen for those of us on the waitlist. Thanks so much. Good luck with everyone's future endeavors.

To the previous poster posting about Yale, is the 5/20 acceptance for sociocultural only? According to their own stats in past years they send out ~15 acceptances. I wonder why
