Chemistry, Florida State University (FSU) 3.93 GPA, GRE 162Q 153V 3.5 AW. No chem GRE. Double major in Chemistry and Statistics and minor in math from a State University. 2 years of undergraduate research including an Honors in the Major Thesis from a well known lab in my field. 2 semesters of TA for the gen chem labs. Totally stoked! This was my first choice!.

Statistics, Florida State University (FSU) I dont think this is a legit offer, because it explicitly mentions that there would be no funding whatsoever. Maybe TA opportunity if ranked top 10 of the students admitted without funding, but even if you are ranked top 10, the TA is not guaranteed. I don't think anyone would accept such an offer. At least I won't, and I don't get the mentality of people who do want to accept this offer. To me, it looks like FSU is trying to grab money from people by expanding the graduate team and not be responsible for the actual quality of study the students receive.

Statistics, University Of Florida Received an email from the coordinator saying that they would give me an offer and asking me if I am still interested in their program. $20k for 9 month TA + extra $ summer TA + tuition fee waiver + health insurance.
