Brain And Cognitive Sciences, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology Generic rejection email. Never heard from anyone since submitting the application. I heard from PhD students in the department that they only plan to take 3 students from the cognition area this year so very few.

Brain And Cognitive Sciences, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology I got a rejection from one of the PI that I discussed in my SOP. Is that normal? Does it mean that they recognize me in some way but can’t offer a seat because of the highly selected pool? Should I reach out for opportunities?

Brain And Cognitive Sciences, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology Interviewed with a POI in December and got an email from POI 2 days later saying they are going to consider other candidates. Not surprised about the rejection since the POI was the only one in BCS I wanted to work with.
