  • I got the invite yesterday. I had asked them to expedite the process as I had other deadlines. They said they were accommodating deadlines wherever necessary. I am from India. 4yrs work ex. Strong LORs, Average acad/GRE. I was in touch with the program since last year. I am not sure how many slots they have, but they are giving 4 weeks time for acceptance to everyone so there still might be scope. All the best!

  • To the poster below: Well I kind of disagree, it's true that wait-list is somewhat rejecting, but there still stands a chance and people will reject offers, whereas for me I haven't heard anything yet. So I guess I can forget about this now.

  • I wonder has anyone already received the interview for MScAC? has anyone received the offer after interview, because i see the data in the past that many people who were interviewed will be told the admit at the end of the interview, so it seems like that the interview means that you are accepted right and would not play an important role for the admission? but i was interviewed on 2nd Feb and did not get any notification for admission until now, anyone has the same situation this year?

  • To poster below: I think they are waiting to make sure the people they accepted will accept their offer for sure. They haven't sent any info to others yet b/c they want to keep everyone else on a leash for as long as possible in case they need them. Also they probably want to send all rejections at once so many definite rejects are waiting for a few on the wait list. But chances are if u haven't heard u will be rejected. I am only guessing of course.

  • The email Claire mosses strategy doesn't seem to be working for me.. Emailed him/her (gradadmissions@cs... that's the email right?).. Got the same generic email, end of may, blah blah...
University Of Toronto (UofT)(Computer Science), Other (F16)Other via Other on 9 May 2016 O9 May 2016
  • How inconsiderate and frankly disrespectful are they in handling the notification procedure! Half a year of waiting and they're still recycling the same template email in response to enquiries! Would it be too much to check the f**** application?
University Of Toronto (UofT)(Computer Science), PhD (F16)Other via Other on 9 May 2016 O9 May 2016
  • I think what is happening with ppl who haven't heard back yet is that they are wait listed, pending the decisions of a few accepted ppl. Meanwhile those few accepted ppl who havent decided are waiting to hear from other universities, which probably have them wait listed, because they are waiting for decisions from ppl who have been wait listed here. I don't see a way out of this situation, no light at the end of the tunnel :(
