Computer Science, McGill University TTPB [2 Technical Internships, 1.5 years of work ex. as an SWE and 3x research papers (1x Journal, 2x Conferences) from a Tier-II Indian University. Received an unofficial rejection mail from the Comp. Sci. Graduate Admissions Committee after I enquired about the status of my application.]. Received an official decision today, rejected. Told to check portal and download decision letter. I strongly feel that my application wasn't even reviewed, and they probably offered admits only to their undergrads who wish to pursue MSc in CS. Very disappointing from McGill.

Transatlantic Masters, UNC-Chapel Hill Ignore waitlist-no status yet. Had a bad year in college but test well and have pretty decent work experience in Congress and internationally with different orgs. Haven't heard anything yet, and am just posting now for others to have clarity and curi

Environment And Sustainability, University Of Western Ontario Canadian applicant, completed an undergrad in environmental science at UofT. I was offered early admission (MES program) within the week of completing the application. Used two academic references, one moderate and one strong. Likely will not be accepting, as I have better offers. The work term in the final year seems really cool though, it looks like a great program.

Creative Writing Fiction, Washington University In St. Louis (WashU) Accepted off the waitlist. I'm absolutely over the moon, I really thought it wasn't going to work out for me this cycle!!! I have one other waitlist to hear back from, but in all likelihood I will be accepting this offer.

Physics, Ohio State University Was wait-listed March. I personally knew of someone who had applied to the same research field and group as me and rejected the offer. I was really hoping for this, I work with a young Prof who joined the department last fall. The email said there's no funding or advising capacity in the department. None of this makes sense. It was my second cycle and I've genuinely no where to go now.

Mental Health Counseling, City College Of New York I submitted my application on 2/1. I received an invite to interview via email on 4/2. I interviewed on 4/10 and received my acceptance during the in-person interview. I received the official letter via email on 4/12. I did 2 years of work-study during undergrad. Worked all thru undergrad. Worked in case management during post-college. I just accepted their offer!!! Best of luck to everyone! 1a/1w/5r/1p

Microbiology, University Of Washington One year of post grad full time tech work. 1 first author publication, 1 more first author and 1 co-author in preparation. 2.5 years part time research in undergrad, with 6 months full time over the summers. Got off the waitlist, and they told me it was the last spot.

Received an email to stating I am being recommended for admission to the Department of Computer Science, Professional Master of Computer Science (MCS) program. No funding.

Computer Science, University Of California, San Diego I was hoping that good news would come from all the waiting. However, I could not have been more wrong, and it blows; UCSD is my dream school. Moreover, I am a recently separated US Navy veteran who worked in cryptology for close to 4 years. I have no published papers and did not go to a top university; however, I had three strong letters of recommendation, a strong SOP, a solid GPA, immense drive, dedication, and proven work experience, which I hoped would lead to acceptance. But, in the end, it wasn't enough. (Although I am very happy for all those who were accepted and hope all the hard work pays off!) P.S. While looking over the UCSD website and after contacting them about the university's demographics out of pure curiosity, I am unsure if they actually consider and or accept veterans. Additionally, when I asked how many actual veterans (those who served, not family members) attend, they said they do not have the information to give. So, if you're a veteran and find yourself curious about the inclusivity of this university, keep this in mind: you might not be as important of a consideration as others, and apparently, you have to be okay with it.
