Math, Notre Dame To answer the ND math applicant below: I had requested a status check via email about a month ago and was told via email that they had not rejected anyone yet, but that if I were still interested I should contact a professor I'd like to work with - which i did, but with no response back. Finally, a few days ago I had gotten an email telling me I was rejected. I'm guessing ND's procedure is to make a couple rounds of acceptance offers, and once every funded spot is filled, send out the official rejection notices to everyone left. I don't think they actually have an official waitlist, or if they do, they won't tell you if you're on it.

M.Sc Management And Economics, London School Fo Economics (LSE) Conditional Offer on retaking the GREs and obtaining a 750 on quantitative (I had a 700 Q, 580 V and 6.0 A before). This is a bit ridiculous as I have A+ in all my undergrad math and econometrics classes. No funding either. Weak offer, really.

Applied Math, University Of California, Davis (UCD) was instructed via email to visit website. but i had already requested a status check more than a month ago and was given an informal rejection then. even though this isnt the result i was hoping for, i do think uc davis has a pretty good online system because it gives specific reasons for rejections. thats a lot more than most schools who simply say "sorry" or just imply their rejection via absolute silence. no biggie for me either. i've got a fully funded acceptance elsewhere.
