  • Is that the only you who posted 3 comments in a row? Congrats for your funding decision. When did you exactly receive the funding result? I have yet to hear anything from them. I really hope some else who got better offers will decline Alabama ASAP. I really want to pursue PhD in Alabama

  • TPB: Hi, to all those who received offers from Oxford's MPhil Economics. Did anyone get funding? I believe that they say that the best MPhil students get directly admitted to Nuffield with funding and so forth which is decided by the Department. Thanks!

  • To the poster below, I have not heard back from any of these programs either. It can be to your best interest to email the schools just like i did now... I think at this point, the odds of us getting accepted is very slim. Fingers crossed guys.

  • Same situation. Only 2wl. The rumor is that full time RAs are prioritized. It seems that many people know this rumor and turn to apply these positions after they have received some rejection letters so the competition for RAs is only slightly less fierce than the competition for Ph.D. Then no hope, I just went back home to find a job.

  • TPB: UCL anyday! Unless there is someone very specific you want to work with at Oxford, go to UCL. Its doing a lot better than Oxford in terms of placements and PhD quality. So without a very specific reason to come to Oxford, go to UCL
