Economics, 1 1 1 SUNY Binghamton Are you kidding me???
You have been admitted (or provisionally admitted) to SUNY-Binghamton(Binghamton University) as a PhD student in the Department of Economics, starting in the fall of 2008. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer you any type of financial aid.
We realize that you may be unable to undertake graduate study without financial aid, and we wish we had better news for you. We hope you will be able to join us anyway, but here are some important things to keep in mind.
There are practically no opportunities for employment in the Economics Department.
There is almost no chance that you will gain financial aid in future years, no matter how well you do in our program. Therefore, you should not begin our program if you will require financial aid to complete your PhD.
