Divinity, University Of Chicago Rejected for the MA at UChicago Divinity School. Notified via email that my application status had changed as of March 1st. A bit surprised I'm not waitlisted given that the second round of applications isn't due until April 10, not that I could afford to accept an unfunded offer.

Religious Studies, University Of Chicago Status was updated to portal without email notification. The program required all applicants to have a Masters so it goes without saying that the pool was competitive! Congrats to those who got in! Trusting the process because this cycle seems to have been brutal for everyone. Stay strong and know that this is not the end of the world!

English, Loyola University Chicago Master's GPA was 4.0. Was somewhat taken aback by outright rejection; the admissions officer had stated that my application was awaiting review about a week ago, but that decisions would be made by the end of February. Given that someone with the same undergraduate and postgraduate grades as me was accepted, I figured that undergrad GPA wouldn't be an automatic disqualifier before review, but the number of waitlist offers from mid-February suggests that some applications weren't read before waitlist decisions were made, which kind of sucks.
