Adult Clinical Psychology, Eastern Michigan University I've been holding off saying something, as I don't think it really matters at this point, but maybe I can save someone from misery. Of all the places I interviewed, I was most disappointed with this program. In general, the current students seemed happy, but two of my three faculty interviews were uncomfortable. When I asked one of the faculty if the on-site clinic offers free services for people who REALLY can't afford the $10 fee, her response was, "Well yeah, but just don't buy cigarettes for the week, and there's your $10". It showed a lack of awareness on that professor's part that REAL poverty exists within the Detroit metro area. And that is just one of several examples of uncomfortable comments I encountered during my interview day there. I could tell my POI there would not be an easy person to work with and would likely send me home crying regularly, just based on the interview. I interviewed at 5 other programs and did not experience anything quite like this one. Luckily, I got some other offers, but I realized that if it were to be between attending this program or nothing, I would choose nothing! Removed myself from the waitlist. I SINCERELY hope that my experience was an anomaly and that for those who go there, they will treat you well, as I don't wish 5 years of unhappiness on anyone.

Adult Clinical Psychology, University Of Missouri (Colombia) Email from Graduate Student Admin. Services saying that first round of interviews have been extended and that a possible second wave may be sent if spots are not filled. (most likely rejection... bummer.)
