  • Saddened but also somewhat expected. Seems like without a great CV full of other awards, an Ivy League bachelor's degree does not go all that far in such selective programs. Also, should've dedicated more time to creating a coherent story to follow.

  • Disappointed, but expected. They're looking for a certain personality/type of person rather than great stats and research experience. I think I represented myself well in my app, but they're looking for a different type of person - and that's ok! Going through their application process involved a lot of self reflection that helped with my later apps to PhD programs.

  • To the poster below: Do you mean there are much more timeslots in the interview signup page than the number of emails they have sent? Is it possible that they just make the interviewers sign up their available slots first for students to choose but do not have to use up all the slots?
