  • To the poster below: Do you mean there are much more timeslots in the interview signup page than the number of emails they have sent? Is it possible that they just make the interviewers sign up their available slots first for students to choose but do not have to use up all the slots?

  • I received an email today to sign up for the interview. It seems that they have not have sent out all interviews just yet, at least not on Monday.

  • Emailed the EE dept for an update. Indeed, all candidates for interviews were contacted today, but they also said interviews are not required for admission. Is this believable, or is the department just saying this so we don't revolt? lol

  • To the poster below, it's often about research fit, not statistics (i.e. GRE, GPA, etc). For sure those things matter and help your app, but it's not enough unfortunately. Also I think EE doesn't require an interview to be admitted? You may just be on their automatic accept list :)

  • I fail to comprehend not being able to see the interview stage with 7 journal publications (4 first author), 3.96 and 4.0 BS-MS Gpa, 117 Toefl and 170 Gre quant, and giving an oral presentation and the consequent conference paper in a very well-known conference in photonics.

  • To the poster below, I received the notification through email, not through an inquiry. It also says that admission is not contingent on an interview. Anyhow, they made it clear that the interview invites will be sent out on Monday.
