  • To the poster regarding the sociology department below: I also have the same query! I have not received any kind of letter (rejection/waitlisted/admitted) though some earlier posts already indicated their acceptance. I am still hoping that my chance is still hanging there! I think all those who already got offers from soc dept. obtained their earlier degrees from American institutions.

  • You all got into Stanford - a great place to be, and many of us didn't and are still waiting to hear back from other places, experiencing high stress and anxiety. Congratulations, and stop fighting with each other! Be ecstatic! You all deserve to feel very happy for you accomplishments. Now let the rest of us figure it out :)

  • I wasn't/am not part of this acceptance/rejection tea-spilling. I agree that the admit acted like a dink. I also think that when far-right blowhards complain about liberal/humanities/social sciences sensitivty, they're talking about ya'll. Buddy was 100% a dink but watching ya'll groupthink attack him is the 'shameful' thing, imo.

  • I can't wait to see the graduate student profiles for Stanford go up this Fall so I can guess which one is the asshole. Assuming that it won't be too difficult to discern.

  • Yikes dude you really do sound like an assh*** or like you are from /r/iamverysmart. And I’m not even the one who was involved in your stupid back and forth originally. Congratulations on getting in, it is a true achievement, but you still seem like you suck.

  • To the Stanford reject whinging below: with prose that purple, no wonder Stanford rejected you. I'm sure your post-hoc rationalization tempers the sting of rejection, though!
